July 2017 Book Haul

I went a little overboard this month on buying books. I normally don’t post book hauls, in fact this is my first ever on my blog, but with this many books I just couldn’t resist sharing with you guys! You all know I love making lists, so I’m going to try to break down all the books I received in the month of July to make this a somewhat cohesive post! I hope you all enjoy!

AMAZON:
Because You Love to Hate Me | Wintersong | The Bronze Horseman | Tatiana and Alexander | The Summer Garden | Blackbringer

Yeah, I went a little too wild. I just fell so deeply in love with The Bronze Horseman this month, I had to own the entire trilogy. Because You Love to Hate Me was a must read on my 2017 releases list. One day, the book gods were smiling upon me and I found a brand new copy of Laini Taylor’s Blackbringer (Faeries of Dreamdark #1) for cheap on Amazon’s Marketplace! And Wintersong was just because I received a bookish candle themed from it. Yes, this is how my book obsessed self rationalizes this purchase.

EBOOKS:
Atheists Who Kneel and Pray | Punk 57 | Corrupt | Trickery

Nothing in this world was going to keep me away from a new Tarryn Fisher book, and once it released I completely ignored my TBR for 24 hours so I could inhale read it. I’ve wanted to read Penelope Douglas for quite some time now, and all I’ve been truly craving this summer is erotic romances, so I finally took the plunge and bought Punk 57 and Corrupt by her, and absolutely loved them both this month! Then I had to pick up Trickery (Curse of the Gods Book 1) just because my friend told me it had a male harem in it, and how in the hell could I possibly resist that key phrase?

BOOK OUTLET:
Windwitch | My Lady Jane | The Smell of Other People’s Houses | The Weight of Feathers | When the Moon Was Ours | A Great and Terrible Beauty | Bellagrand | The Hating Game

Book Outlet is my kryptonite, I swear. I can’t even begin to justify all of this, no matter how hard I try. I did purchase The Weight of Feathers and When the Moon Was Ours, because everyone is reading Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore and they keep recommending her writing style to me. So when I saw her two other books on Book Outlet I had to pick them up! The Hating Game I already read and loved. Bellagrand is just to help enable my The Bronze Horseman addiction. My Lady Jane is because every BookTuber seems obsessed with it. The Smell of Other People’s Houses is because it might be my favorite cover and book title of all time. The rest? Just a hot mess that I probably shouldn’t have bought.

BOOK DEPOSITORY:
Strange the Dreamer

I can’t stop thinking about Strange the Dreamer, so I also couldn’t resist picking up the beautiful UK edition from Book Depository this month.

➽ PSYCHICAL ARCS:
An Enchantment of Ravens

I read and reviewed this in July and absolutely loved it! Seriously, give me all the fae books! Thank you so very much, Simon and Schuster!

The City of Brass | Blackwing | Age of Assassins

These three beauties came inside my mailbox this week! I’m currently reading and loving Blackwing! I can’t wait to pick up Age of Assassins and The City of Brass very soon! Thank you so much, Orbit, Harper Voyager, and Ace Books!

The Stone Sky

This beauty just came in the mail today! I cannot believe how blessed I am to receive this, and I cannot wait to finish this amazing trilogy in August! Thank you so much, Orbit!

NETGALLEY ARCS:
The Red | Bad Reputation

I love Tiffany Reisz, so I had to request an ARC of her new book when I saw it on Netgalley. I was so thankful to be approved, and even happy to have really enjoyed it! I’ve never read anything by Nicole Edwards before, but I was instantly hooked from the synopsis of Bad Reputation and couldn’t resist requesting it, especially with this erotic romance craving I’ve been having!

Okay, I think that’s everything! Like I said, I went a little overboard, but I truly am happy with my purchases and all of my ARCs! I can’t wait to read and review the things I haven’t yet and I think this amount of books will last me for at least a little while. But, if I’m being honest with myself, August is my birthday month, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I surpassed this next month, too! Happy reading!

    1. Thank you so much, Mischenko! My heart is so happy that you loved Wintersong. It seems like a book in going to love, and I follow the author on Twitter and she’s a saint! Now I want to pick it up NOW! Hehe. Happy reading, love! 💗

      1. I didn’t even think about Twitter! I followed you both, haha. 😉 I’ve seen really mixed reviews on Wintersong. For me it was awesome, but I’m a Labyrinth freak and picked up on every little tidbit. I loved it and can’t wait to see your review. ❤ Do hope you enjoy.

  1. Great Haul! Blackwing sounds so amazing! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it. I’m so happy to see trickery in your list. I really enjoyed it but I didn’t loved the second book as much as the first book.

    1. Oh, this makes me so happy that you’ve read Trickery! I’ll have to read your review after I finish it, but I have such high hopes! And thank you, love! I’m currently reading Blackwing and loving it! It’s so different and unique. It doesn’t feel like a debut novel at all! 💖

  2. Amazing haul, love! I didn’t know only the first ed STDs (lol) had the blue edges. Now I’m kicking myself for not ordering it as soon as it released, like I originally planned to! Ah, well. Maybe I’ll luck up and find one selling secondhand. 🙂 If not, at least the regular UK cover is still gorgeous!

    1. Girl, I’m so salty about it too! I almost bought the FairyLoot box that had it with blue pages and signed, and it’s like my biggest bookish mistake of my life for not doing it! But… at least no one can tell from the spine on my bookshelf! 😂

And thank you, love! Happy reading! 💗xx
